Former KORN Guitarist's Backwards Message Unmasked?
September 15, 2008A BLABBERMOUTH.NET visitor who is registered on YouTube under the name "chtimixeur" has submitted the following item:
"If you listen closely to [former KORN guitarist] Brian 'Head' Welch's first song ['L.O.V.E.'] on his solo record ['Save Me From Myself'], you will hear weird sounds where he seems to say a few sentences backwards.
"I played it backwards, and here's what he says:
'I gave you everything
All the pain life brings
Just to get you to
Come back to me'
"I had done a previous version of this video, but the sound was too distorted to hear anything. That's why I improved the quality of the rip and released this new video."

"Save Me From Myself" was released on September 9 through Driven Music Group (distribution by Ryko/Warner Music Group),the label he co-founded with music execs Greg Shanaberger and Mark Nawara. The CD was produced by Head, who recorded the music off and on for the past two years in Phoenix, Arizona. It features renowned musicians Tony Levin (PETER GABRIEL, DAVID BOWIE) and Josh Freese (A PERFECT CIRCLE, NINE INCH NAILS),and was mixed by Ralph Patlan and Bob Clearmountain. It's a testimony of Head's life as he battled with drug addiction and leaving KORN, and finding spirituality.
Brian "Head" Welch has launched a promo tour to celebrate the release of "Save Me From Myself". At each stop along the tour route, Head is signing copies of the album, as well as his autobiographies, "Save Me From Myself", which landed on the New York Times Bestseller list (non-fiction) and has sold over 70,000 copies since its release, and "Washed By Blood". The latter is an edited paperback version of "Save Me From Myself" aimed at a younger audience and doesn't contain the profanity and gory details of the original version. A paperback of the original "Save Me From Myself" is also available now.
